On the afternoon of May 24, 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology successfully held the Opening Ceremony of the 17th IT CUP Football Tournament at Van Xuan Football Stadium. Despite minor weather disruptions, the event was conducted smoothly, marking the beginning of an exciting and highly anticipated season.

The ceremony was honored by the presence of:

• Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long – Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology;
• Mr. Nguyen The Huu – Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union, Head of the Organizing Committee;
• M.Sc. Tran Dinh Toan – Head of the Faculty Trade Union;
• Dr. Tran Quang Huy – Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology;
• M.Sc. Tran Trung Tinh – Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology.

The event also welcomed representatives from 15 participating teams and more than 100 student supporters from the Faculty of Information Technology.

Following the opening ceremony, the first matches officially kicked off in an enthusiastic atmosphere, showcasing sportsmanship, teamwork, and determination among the participating teams. The tournament serves not only as a healthy sporting event but also as an opportunity for students to strengthen their physical fitness, develop teamwork skills, and foster a vibrant academic community.

The Organizing Committee extends its best wishes to all teams and players for a successful tournament. Participants are encouraged to compete fairly, maintain excellent performance, and deliver exciting matches for supporters throughout the competition.

The 17th IT CUP Football Tournament promises many thrilling games and memorable moments. Faculty members, students, and football enthusiasts are warmly invited to follow and support the teams in the upcoming rounds.
