INTRODUCTION TO THE FACULTY OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
The Faculty of Information Technology was established in 2003, evolving from the former Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Informatics. This milestone marked an important step in the University’s development. Over more than two decades of growth, the Faculty has achieved significant accomplishments in teaching, scientific research, and industry collaboration. Thousands of graduates have been equipped with solid academic knowledge and strong professional skills, meeting the demands of society and industry.
The Faculty has been honored with numerous awards and commendations from prestigious authorities, including the Minister of Industry and Trade, the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, and the Ho Chi Minh City Federation of Labor. It has also consistently been recognized as an “Excellent Labor Collective” at the institutional level for many consecutive years.
Currently, the Faculty comprises five main departments:
- Department of Data Science
- Department of Software Engineering
- Department of Information Systems
- Department of Computer Networks & Information Security
- Department of Digital Technology
Each department is responsible for specialized training in its respective field, enabling students to access advanced knowledge and modern technologies.
With a highly qualified academic staff—including associate professors, PhD holders, senior lecturers, and visiting experts from reputable universities and industry partners—the Faculty is committed to providing a high-quality learning environment.
