On the afternoon of May 24, 2026, at 2:00 PM, the Faculty of Information Technology officially held the Opening Ceremony of the 17th IT CUP Football Tournament for the Academic Year 2025–2026 at Van Xuan Football Stadium in an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere.

Despite minor weather challenges affecting the event schedule, the ceremony was successfully conducted and marked the official beginning of another exciting season of one of the faculty’s most anticipated annual sporting activities.

The Organizing Committee was honored to welcome the attendance of distinguished faculty members:

• Dr. Nguyen Thanh Long – Vice Dean, Faculty of Information Technology
• Mr. Nguyen The Huu – Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union, Head of Organizing Committee
• M.Sc. Tran Dinh Toan – Head of the Faculty Trade Union
• Dr. Tran Quang Huy – Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology
• M.Sc. Tran Trung Tinh – Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology
• M.Sc. Dinh Nguyen Trong Nghia – Lecturer, Faculty of Information Technology

The event also gathered 15 participating football teams and more than 100 students and supporters, creating an energetic and inspiring sporting atmosphere.

In the opening remarks, the Organizing Committee emphasized that IT CUP is not only a traditional sporting event of the Faculty but also an opportunity for students to strengthen friendships, improve physical well-being, foster teamwork, and develop a spirit of discipline and fair play.

Following the ceremony, the opening matches immediately brought excitement to the field with competitive performances, determined spirits, and memorable moments for spectators.

The 17th IT CUP Football Tournament is expected to continue delivering thrilling matches and unforgettable experiences while promoting an active and healthy student culture within the Faculty of Information Technology.
