Curriculum Structure - Information Technology

The Information Technology program is structured into four main knowledge blocks as follows:
- General Education: 32 credits (21.2%)
- Fundamental (Core) Knowledge: 35 credits (23.2%)
- Major (Specialized) Knowledge: 54 credits (35.8%)
- Advanced Specialized Stage (Engineering-oriented track): 30 credits (19.9%)
Total required credits for graduation: 151 credits (excluding Physical Education and National Defense Education).
The program is designed in two stages:
- Stage 1 (Undergraduate level – Bachelor’s degree)
- Stage 2 (Advanced specialized stage – Engineering degree)

1. General Education Courses
This block includes foundational courses in political theory, general knowledge, and basic skills such as:
- Marxism–Leninism Philosophy
- Political Economy of Marxism–Leninism
- Scientific Socialism
- Ho Chi Minh Ideology
- History of the Communist Party of Vietnam
- English (levels 1–3)
- Basic Informatics
- Calculus
- Linear Algebra
- Probability and Statistics
- Physical Education
- National Defense and Security Education
2. Fundamental (Core) Courses
This block provides essential knowledge in computing and mathematics, including:
- Introduction to Programming and Programming Practice
- Data Structures and Algorithms
- Discrete Structures
- Computer Architecture
- Database-related foundations
- Supporting mathematical and statistical courses
3. Specialized (Major) Courses
This block focuses on core competencies in Information Technology, including:
- Machine Learning
- Information Security and Network Security
- Software Engineering
- Web and Application Development
- Data Mining
- Enterprise Skills and Internship Preparation
- Specialized Project, Internship, and Graduation Thesis
Additionally, students must choose one specialization track:
- Software Engineering
- Information Systems
- Computer Networks
4. Advanced Specialized Courses (Engineering Track)

This block includes advanced and modern topics such as:
- Advanced Software Engineering
- Digital Transformation and Project Management

- The maximum duration for program completion follows university regulations under the credit-based system.
