1. Introduction

The Department of Information Systems, under the Faculty of Information Technology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, is an academic unit specializing in education and research in information systems, data management, and the application of technology in management, business, and production.

The department is responsible for delivering foundational and core courses in the Information Systems discipline. The curriculum is continuously updated and improved to equip students with solid knowledge in analyzing, designing, implementing, and managing information systems, while also developing programming skills, data mining capabilities, and the ability to apply emerging technologies in data management.

With a team of highly qualified and experienced lecturers, the department actively keeps pace with technological trends and collaborates with industry partners to provide students with internship opportunities and exposure to modern information systems. Upon graduation, students can pursue various career paths such as System Developer, ERP Specialist, Database Administrator, Data Engineer, or researcher in the field of Information Technology.
